Kids

On Friday I found myself washing dishes in the Home Ec. room for an hour after the senior breakfast. The Home Ec. teacher was trying to help her kids review for their final exam by playing a review game. This is what I heard:
Teacher: What government agency created the food guide pyramid?
An overly-excited student raising his hand as high as it would go whilst oohhing: I know, I know!!! It was the NAACP.
Moments like this make me love my job.

Katie, I know what you mean about crazy dumb things people do...unfortunately I'm on the other end of those usually. Yesterday I tried to check my car oil..there is a big dipstick with the words written "Engine oil" on them. Instead of choosing the obvious option, I was confused when I proceeded to check the transmition fluid and it was red. "Since when is engine oil red?" I asked. I'm probably the one who made that NAACP comment :)

The sad thing is you know I'm the type of person who would make the NAACP comment. So watch out who you're making fun of...it very likely could be your old college roommate :)
